Agronomy Intern – Student

Harriston Agromart Inc. is currently seeking a Full-time Agronomy Intern for seasonal employment (April-September). We are looking for customer focused individuals and local talent to help us and our customers make the best possible agronomic decisions with real time information from the field. Harriston Agromart has an excellent training program.

Key Responsibilites

  • Conduct crop scouting for weeds, diseases and insects
  • Assist with on-farm trials of varieties, hybrids and crop protection products
  • Customer service oriented, interacting with current or prospective customers, promoting Harriston Agromart as a professional organization
  • Deliver products or services to customers
  • Support the Agronomy & Sales staff as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate Will Possess or Be Willing to Achieve the Following Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Valid G license is required
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow direction
  • Enjoys working outdoors and willing to work in variable weather conditions
  • Friendly & dependable
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Able to work extended hours and weekends during peak times of year
  • A strong desire to learn about agronomy, crop production and the crop inputs industry
